I had a lot of practice multi-tabling the turbos. I was able to recognize the swings and move on with a good mentality. Sure, I made some donkish plays in some of thes structures that I'm not great at, but overall I'm happy with how I got through it all with a good bankroll to keep grinding with.
To be honest, the numbers for anything but the $2.20 180 mans are pretty weak if not negative. The 180's saved my ass, so I'll be sure to put in more volume with the other tournaments, and hopefully my numbers will improve.

Today I played mainly 6.50's and a few $12's -- I'm very near Gold Star VIP level, and need to grind it out before midnight.

Also my last session was the sickest of all:
$12 45 entrants - 1st
$6 45 entrants - 1st
$2 180 entrants - 1st
$2 180 entrants - 1st
#3 45 entrants - 5th

Disgusting. I played well. I only registered in the $12's in order to earn VPP's quicker, but then again it's not really worth risking the micro bankroll that I have, so I don't plan on pushing it much more.

The entire weekend was fun, during the highs and the lows. It's nice to be grinding full time. I do need to plan a day off soon which will probably be Tuesday.

Battle Plan

I can't complain about the recent swings because I haven't been playing my best. Turbos naturally bring swings... and -- on top of that, I played a couple of $12's, which is illegal bankroll wise - and I've also found myself carried away playing too many tables at once. Here are my graphs for the weekend through Tuesday:

The downswing just after the 800 SNG mark happened when I played several 6.50's in a row, ran bad, and also didn't play too well. I wanted to clear $500 so bad that I slipped and lost track of my goals. Then again I didn't have a good battle plan after I moved up from the 1.10's/2.20's.

The 1.10's definitely got me here. I'll have to pay homage at the end of the month...and 50 table the bitches for 5 hours or something. I deposited $100 a few weeks ago, grinded them out to $200, lost that in cash games...then shipped a 70FPP turbo 10 man (lol) with first being a seat in the Sunday 1/4 million which I then sold the T$ for about $10.75. After that, I played a bunch of 1.10's, binked a few 2.20's, and have built a suitable roll (I feel) for full time turbo poker. My ROI in the 3.25's are negative, but I expect those numbers to improve this week. I'm going to increase my volume by a long shot, but I think I've balanced it out so that I can pull it off without burning out.

I have 2 weeks planned out, but depending on how the first week goes, I might have to make adjustments, which I'm ready to do if I catch a downswing. Starting with a bankroll of $497, I'll be alternating the following A and B schedules in Week 1:

Day A:

  1. 3.40 (18 entrants) 2 sessions of 10
  2. 6.50 (18 entrants) 2 sessions of 10
  3. 6.50(9 entrants) 2 sessions of 10
  4. 3.25(45 entrants)2 sessions of 10
  5. 6.50(45 entrants)2 sessions of 10
  6. 6.50(9 entrants) 2 sessions of 10
Day B:
  1. 3.25(45 entrants) 2 sessions of 10
  2. 6.50(9 entrants) 2 sessions of 10
  3. 6.50(18 entrants)2 sessions of 10
  4. 3.40(18 entrants)2 sessions of 10
  5. 6.50(9 entrants)2 sessions of 10
  6. 6.50(45 entrants)2 sessions of 10
Yes. This is a lot of poker to be playing, I realize this. However -- I have a legal matter that I would like to be resolved on the 24th of June, but it's not a deadline for cheese by any means. It's a very good incentive though. Things change when you have something you really have to pay off :) --**-- I'm going to mix in brief exercises and workouts in between sessions to keep a good shape. This should help offset the limited sleep and long hours of grinding. Water and juice only, I dont need caffine. I say that shit now but...well -- I'll let you know.

I'm starting this thing tomorrow (Thursday.) I'll have a day to break from poker, which will be nice. Diablo 2 instead :D. My 2 days off for the week will be Saturday and Tuesday.

GL and I'll post again before Saturday.

3 months later

I had to withdraw some cash, and stopped playing shortly after my last post.  Since then I redeposited and have played about 700 SNG's.  I started at the 1.10 45 man turbos, and then started mixing in 2.20 180's and 1.75 18 mans.   After Jennifear's article on Bankroll Minimums, I somehow became inspired to follow good bankroll management.  It's been going okay so far, but you can definitely start feeling the swings after a few hundred SNG's:

I'm going to the Indy 500 tomorrow, so I'll have the day off.  Going to war with the 3.25 45 mans on Monday.  Also going to continue grinding the 2.20 180 mans.

Have a nice weekend.
